Considering the statistics stating that one of the major causes of injuries at home is slipping and falling in the shower or tub, I thought this was a wise move before I fell prey to this. I have a deeper soaking tub that's also a shower, and therefore the risks getting in and out are greater than average.
It was ordered through Amazon's web-site and the reason I chose it was because it was the cheapest of all the products in this category, in a brass finish. It arrived within 3 days of the order, and was packaged well. The grab bar's covers over the mount were a bit difficult to remove, and needed a screwdriver to prise off. You've got to do it carefully so as not to mar the finish, but the finish seemed pretty tough anyway.
The mount provides multiple positions to position screws. It recommends that you use three screws each, but its kind of hard to find enough room on a 2" stud to put two screws side-by-side, especially when you have to first accurately locate the stud's position using a sensor. This is probably the hardest part in trying to mount this on the tiled wall adjacent to the shower / tub. Otherwise, everything else went easily - just be careful drilling through tilework so as not to crack it. I used a hammer drill with a 3/8" bit, but first I covered the drill spot with a piece of electrical tape on which I marked the hole positions. Then go slow... After screwing in the bar, it was easy to slip the brass covers over the mounting plates.
