showerhead June 17, 2010 Margaret J. Verdow Good showerhead, the three settings change smoothly and are all usable. The design and finish is fantastic.
Pretty Good March 19, 2010 Ira N. Botnick It was time to get a new shower head and i decided on this one because of the reviews. It lives up to previous good reviews. I have no complaints. Output is very good and the 3 modes are all good. The wide spray is the best for me.
Perfect Shower Head- Just Right. November 20, 2009 A. Reader (Hollywood, Ca United States) Reasonable price, lifetime warrenty, good (if a little unexciting looks) great price here on Amazon.
With respect to the other reviewers, I have experienced none of their problems.
The three settings all worked amazing. The spray delivers more water than my previous high-end Waterpick. Its just right for rinsing off or 'showering.' The drench setting feels like a waterfall and somehow the water just feels 'soft.' The last setting, massage, could maybe be a touch stronger, and is VERY loud, but doesn't sting or hurt like many other shower heads I've used. That could be a problem depending on the severity of the knot youre trying to work out, but I thought it was 'just right.'
A lot of this showerheads being just right may hinge on these two things: My showerhead is on an adjustable arm, so I can always get it just where I want it for the perfect spray; I live in an apartment with great water pressure, probably very few flow controls, and an almost enless supply of hot water.
I can tell you my normal 5-10 minute showers have now turned into 20-30 minute relaxation experiences making me late for work 3 days in a row. True Story.
This is probably NOT A LOW FLOW SHOWERHEAD. I dont know why its been tagged as such.
For people with low pressure, this product is probably the way to go: Giessdorf 8 Jet Shower Head - Chrome.
Great improvement to my shower stall! August 11, 2009 Ray K. (NW Florida, USA) First, I realize that selecting shower heads is a very subjective and personal thing. Having said that, I absolutely love this Kohler Showerhead! I use it as a "rain head" in my shower stall. I found the flow to be quite sufficient for showering, including easily removing soap and shampoo. I actually replaced another Kohler single function head that did not have enough flow with this one. Much better, in my opinion! In addition to enhancing my showering experience, this is an attractive and well made fixture. I also found Kohler's customer service to be very good. I called them about the lack of flow with the previous head and the representative recommended this one. I'm glad she did and that I tried it!
Just misses the mark. June 3, 2009 R. J. Liggieri 5 out of 5 found this review helpful
I have gone through at least 10 different shower heads for my bathroom. I just can't seem to find the right one. I do have good water pressure. The Kohler Fairfax(and Forte models) while good, lacks in several key areas. I will go over each setting of this shower head.
1. Wide Spray Setting: This setting is the default setting for this shower head and it is a real let down. It is an anemic spray pattern with no water coming out from the center of the shower head. It is difficult to remove soap from your hair and makes for an annoying shower experience.
2. Drench Setting: This is the best setting on this shower head. The drench setting is wonderful. It feels like buckets of water coming down on your head. I really love this setting.
3. Massage Setting: This setting is one of those aerated massage settings. It is relatively weak for a massage setting and is very nosiy. I have a Delta shower head that has a massage setting that knock you around if you are not careful. Overall this setting is not bad, but it is not very good either. I wouldn't care if the wide spray setting was good.
This was almost the perfect shower head for me. It looks good and is water efficient. If the wide spray setting were adequate, I would give this another star. My wife can't live with the general spray setting. If only I could find a shower head with the same drench setting and a good spray setting, life would be better. If anyone has some recommendations, I am all ears.
